Types/Genres of a Magazine

     There are plenty types/genres of magazines. Such as auto, business & finance, children’s, computer & electronics, cooking/food/Bev Magazines, Craft & Hobbies, Entertainment & Tv, En Español, Fashion & Style, Health & Fitness, Home & Garden, Lifestyle, Men’s, News & Politics, Parenting, Psychology, Science & Nature, Sports & Recreation, Teen, Regional, Travel & Places, and Women’s. I will be showing examples of each below. 

Auto

     These magazines are normally about vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, planes, boats, electronic inventions, etc. 





Business & Finance

    These magazines are normally about business related issues such as stocks, how to save money, etc.



Children’s

     These magazines are normally about children’s health, tips to help kids, clothing choices for children, cartoons, etc.



Computer & Electronics

      These magazines are about software, computer science and engineering, new data bases, etc 




Cooking/Food/Bev Magazines

     These magazines are normally about baking, cooking meals, food, drinks, etc



Craft & Hobbies

     These magazines are normally about hobbies you can do, crafts you can create, etc.



Entertainment & Tv

     These magazines are normally about shows, movies, etc.



En Español

     These magazines are normally in Spanish for spanish readers and about Spanish/hispanic culture. 




Fashion & Style

     These magazines are normally about fashion, clothing, style, etc 



Health & Fitness

     These magazines are normally about working out, exercise, diets, gym, fitness, etc



Home & Garden

     These are normally about home decor, planting, gardening, furniture, etc. 




Lifestyle

     These are normally about leisure activities, new ways to improve your life, etc.



Men’s

     These magazines are normally about men’s issues, problems, happinesses, etc 




News & Politics

     These magazines are normally about world issues, government, news, media, etc.



Parenting

     These magazines are normally about tops on parenting different age groups, etc.

     These are normally about psychological issues, etc.

Photo Composition Info Pt.1

     Hello you guys! Long time, no see. So yes, I’ve been busy learning the new techniques that photographers use to take photos. I even learned Mise-en-scene (however I’ll explain that later). Yesterday, in class, I ended up doing a practice assignment identifying certain elements such as camera shots, angles, composition, and mise-en-scene that were in a video that was shown. It was a mistreating assignment. Although I didn’t not know what kind of answer my teacher was looking for, I explained how each kind of element was used to convey meaning in the scene. Hopefully I did well.
